*📖DELEGATION: THE ART OF SHARED LEADERSHIP*
👉(Reading: Numbers 11: 10-17)

📜Then the Lord said to Moses, ‘Summon before me seventy of the leaders of Israel ... I will take some of the Spirit that is upon you, and I will put the Spirit upon them also. They will bear the burden of the people along with you, so you will not have to carry it alone. *Numbers 11: 16-17 (NLT)*
📋God prepared Moses for many years before entrusting him with the task of leading the people of Israel. He had learnt the luxury of palace life as an adopted child of Pharaoh’s daughter and then the hard life of being a shepherd in the wilderness of Midian. Despite these experiences, Moses could not do without the support of others. The seventy elders were likely among the rulers of thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens suggested by Jethro to Moses in Exodus 18:25 hence would have been tested and approved. God now expands their role. God commanded Moses to summon them to be anointed, to take ownership of the vision and share the burden with Moses. If the burden of a leader called by God becomes too great, as in the case of Moses, God provides help, if the leader asks for it. Additionally, God anoints these helpers with power, just as he did with the seventy elders. What assignment has God given to you? Are you able to bear the burden alone? Have you sought God’s guidance to identify and equip others to help you?
