*📖HE WHO WATERS OTHERS SHALL BE WATERED*
👉(Reading: Isaiah 58:7-11)
🗓Monday, August 24
📜...and Jehovah will guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in dry places, and make strong thy bones; and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not… *Isaiah 58:11 (ASV)*
📋I always quizzed my mum why she would not farm on the low ground but rather on top of a mountain covered by a thick forest. Interestingly, crops like sugarcane and rice flourish there because of humidity caused by the constant drizzle of dew as thick as rain showers each foggy morning, even in dry season. Our text tells us that if we care for those in need, we shall be cared for like my Mum’s mountaintop farm. The believer is like a tree planted by waters, whose leaves never wither, neither does he fail to produce fruit in season. (Psalm 1:1-3). The Prophet Isaiah, talking about the right fasting, assures Israel that the Lord “will guide and lead them, he will keep them evergreen refreshed by the Spirit” if they call on him in repentance and do good works. If we will obey the Lord, do good to others, he will be good to us. Are you willing to water others? Why not open up for the fresh outpouring of his goodness today? Let the Lord water you.
