*📖DRAW NEAR TO GOD*

📜And since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience… *Hebrews 10:21-22 (NIV)*
📋Although God is not far away from us, we can distance ourselves from him. The Bible presents God as supreme and separated from his creation, but at the same time, he is not out of reach. Human beings can approach him since he has made himself available to us. God decided to reach out to us even when we sinned against him. He came to us through his Son Jesus Christ, the Emmanuel. The writer of Hebrews presented Jesus Christ as the High Priest who went to the Holy of Holies to atone for our sins once and for all, opening the hitherto unreached door. We, now have that unchallengeable right to access the presence of God. That is why today’s passage is calling on us to draw near to God. God is available unto us but we can only access him fully when we draw near to him. We must however draw near to him with a pure heart—a clean heart which is without malice, bitterness, hatred or evil motive. When we draw near to God, we can hear him. Do you have a problem drawing near to God? He says, just draw near with full assurance of faith.
