📜Do not take to heart all the things that people say, lest you hear your servant cursing you *Ecclesiastes 7:21 (ESV)*
📋One sign of immaturity is our desire to respond to everything we hear. We must learn to ignore certain voices which do us no good. I remember, one sad Sunday morning in 1990, one of my little brothers (4 years old) strayed to cross a busy road alone from the children’s service to the adult church on the other side of a highway. While in the middle of the road almost away from the danger of an oncoming vehicle running at a terrific speed, someone standing by shouted causing the little boy to attempt returning to the side he was coming from. The speeding car crushed him to death. We sometimes have to discern the shouts we hear from the sideliners, calling us to retreat from what we sense God leading us into. If my little darling were to be old enough to discern his position from the panic shouts, perhaps he wouldn’t have died. Do you hear other voices shouting at you, urging you to retreat or to throw in the towel? Maybe it is because they see you going too far while they have never risked to move a step beyond their fear. Ignore those voices. Do not let people sell their fears to you. If you heard God, move on.
_*🛐Meditation And Prayer:*_ Lord, help me to stay put, discern the wrong voices from the good and to stay glued to your plan without looking back.
