*🙏The Word Daily Devotion 🙏*

(Global Evangelical Church)

*📖DO NOTHING UNTIL YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO*

👉(Reading: Psalm 62:6-10)

🗓Sunday, September 6

📜Put no trust in extortion; set no vain hopes on robbery; if riches increase, set not your heart on them *Psalm 62:10 (ESV)*

📋When our circumstances change for the better, we are not to put our trust in riches because they fade away. It is a word in season to us if we find ourselves on the other side of the divide—in need. Kingdom living brings us to times when you find you aren’t in control of your next moments. In such situations the temptation to help ourselves to the sinful opportunities available are high. Do not move until you hear God speak. For a Christian, prayer calms the spirit and helps him/her know what to do. How do you know that what you are faced with is not for your good? Quick and known fixes are sometimes rather dangerous. You may have the same symptoms as others but the causes and cures could differ. We ought not be “…sluggish, but imitators of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises” (Hebrews 6:12, (ASV). Do not follow the crowd. Ask God what he would have you do, before stepping out into something. Pray, trust, and watch. Do not run ahead and get squashed before your time. Learn to stay put till God comes through! Bank your hope on God.

_*🛐Meditation And Prayer:*_ Lord, keep me calm to stay in your word always whether in good or bad times.

_*📚Further Reading:*_ Philippians 4:6; Psalm 142:2; Hebrews 6:17-18

_*🔑Key Lesson:*_ We ought to put our trust in God rather than in riches, else we would be sad in bad times and be falsely happy when riches increase.

_*◼The Bible in one year:*_ Ezekiel 41-43
