*📖TUNE IN TO THE SPIRIT*

📜For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit *Romans 8:5 (ESV)*

📋Our minds are like radio or television; they can be tuned in or tuned off. Just as we can tune radio and television sets to our preferred stations, so also, is our minds. And just as the things we listen to or watch have the potential to control our lives, so also, whatever we decide to tune our minds and hearts unto controls us. Recently, I vetoed that no Shatta Wale’s song should be played in our home. I saw that my children were falling in love with his songs. They can rattle almost every lyric of his without struggle. I knew it was going to have a negative effect on them so I stopped them. Paul explains in today’s text that, since we have switched from the worldly radio to God’s, we must make sure we constantly remain on his frequency. This means we must constantly meditate on God’s word, pray and fellowship daily with him. When we do this, we are living according to the spirit. When we live by the spirit, we are empowered to overcome evil and to do exploit to glorify God’s name. What do you set your mind on? What captures and controls your heart daily? Is it the word of God or things of the devil?
