*📖THE HOLY SPIRIT’S EMPOWERMENT*

📜But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. ‘Look,’ he said, ‘I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God *Acts 7:55-56 (RSV)*
📋The presence of the Holy Spirit empowers us for total commitment to God. The role of the Holy Spirit cannot be over-emphasised as far as our walk with God is concerned. The Holy Spirit enables us to render so many services both physical and spiritual. Today’s reading gives an account of Stephen’s commitment to the work of the cross. Though a convert who didn’t work directly under Jesus Christ, he was so much committed to his call; he was empowered by the Holy Spirit to provide services and to preach the gospel with passion and zeal. He narrated the mistake of their fathers who killed Jesus. He spoke the truth with confidence and boldness without fear or favour. We also, need the empowerment of the Holy Spirit daily to be able to commit ourselves to the work of the cross. With the empowerment from the Holy Spirit, one will prevail against all odds and be determined to please the Lord. In Daniel chapter 3, the three young men were committed to pleasing only their God and they became heroes that changed the decree of the king. Are you empowered by the Holy Spirit for the kingdom work?
