📜I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought *1 Corinthians 1:10 (NIV)*
📋Is it possible to always agree with others and be perfectly united in mind and thought with them? As human beings, this is almost impossible. God loves variety and that is why he created us with variety. So why is Paul calling on us to agree with one another and be perfectly united in mind and thought? Paul is not against having dissenting views on issues. God is not expecting all of us to be thinking about the same thing in the same way all the time. What God is teaching us through the Apostle Paul is that, even though we may disagree on issues, we should not allow the disagreement to divide us. We can agree to disagree. We may have the same end in view but our approaches may vary. If our motives are right, our disagreements can end up in achieving the same noble end. Paul expects the Corinthian Christians to know that they have been called by the same God and they are to work together towards pleasing him. What are you doing to keep the unity of the body of Christ?

Good devotion. Yes heresy and sin are always dealt with in the church. What always remains is Jesus is Risen and we must accept him as Lord and Saviour!
