📜Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone *Colossians 4:5-6 (NIV)*
📋People are able to judge our Christian life much better by what we do rather than what we say. We may be singing the best songs or preaching the best sermons in Church but merely doing those things do not show our true Christian nature. What really demonstrates our Christian character and make our faith real to others is our relationship with them. Our lifestyle outside the Church is very important in attracting others to God. Somebody said that the world has no Bible to read but our lifestyles. As we walk about and relate with them, they read the word of God through us. Can you remember somebody whose lifestyle challenged you and made Christianity attractive to you when you were an unbeliever? There are countless of those whose silent but holy lifestyle attracted me to God. Paul, in today’s text is calling on us to be wise in the way we act toward outsiders. He wants us to display wisdom in the way we use our time and also, how we communicate with others. How do you relate with your co-workers or those around you? How is your lifestyle speaking to them? Are you only showing your Christian faith in the loud prayers you pray?
