*📖SAVED TO BE BLAMELESS*
👉(Reading: Colossians 1:15-23)
🗓Saturday, July 25
📜And you, who once were alienated and hostile in mind, doing evil deeds, he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him *Colossians 1:21-22 (ESV)*
📋God’s purpose for sending his only Son, Jesus Christ to die for humanity is simple—to turn our alienated and hostile minds from evil and to present us blameless before God. God created us blameless but we disobeyed him and sinned. However, since God still loves us, he sent Jesus to bring us back. The question is whether many of us who claim we are saved, have indeed turned our alienated and hostile minds from evil? Evil seems to be triumphing in the world in spite of the spread of Christianity. Our chapels are filled to the brim every Sunday but we still litter our environments, steal from our workplaces, cheat on our spouses, destroy one another for personal gain etc. Can we say that the gospel has not been effective? The answer is surely no! Christ has indeed achieved his work of redemption for us but we have to know and accept our new position in him. We must be ready to submit our minds and hearts to him totally before his accomplished work will manifest in our lives. Have you fully surrendered to Christ’s finished work? How is that transforming your mind from evil to becoming blameless?
