_“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful, he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it"_ *1 Corinthians 10:13 (NLT)*
📋 There is a popular saying that “If you see your friend's beard on fire, you must quickly get some water by your side”. It is common to see several people in the church falling into one temptation or the other. The world is gradually taking believers away and this should remind us of what happened to the Israelites in the wilderness. They walked through the Red Sea and saw the hand of God doing so many wonderful things for them, but they later turned away from God and went into idol worshiping, grumbling, etc. Paul, in today's reading, admonishes us to stand firm and trust God to avoid falling into sin. We must always keep our eyes on God and his provisions. He is not only expecting us to be with him but he has made adequate provisions for our wellbeing and comfort. One key among his provisions is that we will have power to overcome all temptations. Today's text says no temptation shall come to us except those that we have power to overcome. You are made to overcome, not to be defeated by any form of temptation Are you operating in the overcoming power that our Lord has given you?
