*📖OUR HEAVENLY BLESSINGS IN CHRIST*

📜Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with spiritual blessings in Christ *Ephesians 1:3 (NIV)*
📋Often, we Christians have considered blessing from God to be only tangible things such as money, clothing and other properties. So when we are not seeing these physical things in our lives, we get worried. But our reading for today is teaching us that our blessings as Christians are not only tangible but also spiritual. Paul in writing to the Ephesians began to praise God for all the spiritual blessings they have received when they gave their lives to Christ. Writing from prison, one would have thought that Paul would have been angry with God for the circumstances surrounding his life. However, he instead praised God for spiritual blessings in Christ. What are these spiritual blessings Paul was referring to? Reading further, Paul mentioned how God chose believers in Christ before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight, how God has redeemed us through the blood of Jesus, how he adopted us as sons through Christ and forgave us our sins. These are spiritual blessings that no money can buy. We can now understand why Paul was full of praise even when he was in jail. Have you been overly anxious lately over the lack of physical blessings in your life? Cheer up, for you are already blessed spiritually in Christ Jesus.
