*📖GOD’S PURPOSE FOR OUR LIVES*

👉(Reading: Isaiah 14:24-27)

🗓Saturday, October 31

📜For the Lord of hosts has purposed, and who will annul it? His hand is stretched out, and who will turn it back? * Isaiah 14:27 (ESV)*

📋Every good Christian would like to know the purpose of God concerning his/her life. No good Christian wants to live a purposeless life. When we are not sure of God’s purpose for us, we become rather confused; we lack the confidence to do what we set out to do. In Psalm 57:2 David said, “I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills his purpose for me.” David recognized the importance of living a God fulfilled-purpose-life. What is God’s purpose for our lives and how can we know it? God’s purpose for the world is for his creation, including human beings, who are the climax of his creation, to worship and have fellowship with him alone. Everything God does is to honour his name. Therefore, anything that works against God’s purpose faces the wrath of God. Because God is sovereign, he uses anything and everything to fulfill his purpose. In today’s text, God used Assyria to fulfill his purpose but the Assyrians thought that their achievements were by their own strength. Therefore, God punished them. To know and be in God’s purpose is to surrender totally to him. When we surrender to him and meditate on his word, he reveals his purpose to us. Are you struggling to know his purpose for your life? Just surrender to him and he will guide you.
