📋Today, Paul takes us further to his visit to Jerusalem after 14 years of preaching to the Gentiles. The question of whether Paul was an authentic evangelist did not pose any challenge since the Apostles sensed the grace of God that was upon him. Paul’s aim of going to Jerusalem was to compare what he was teaching to what the Church in Jerusalem preached. By that time the disciples had understood the gospel not to be a cultural system but God revealed to save us as human. Christian truth is one and we must be careful to examine what we believe and teach only what the word of God says. Some only read the Bible to support what they want to say and not to say what the Bible teaches. There were some fake believers among them who wanted to enslave them to obey Jewish laws. When we measure our work with God’s standards, no matter where and who comes to challenge us, we would not be found wanting. God’s word is that standard and we must always measure ourselves with it. Are you working to your own specifications or God’s?
