*📖THE TEMPLE OF GOD*
👉(Reading: 1 Corinthians 3:1-17)

📜Know ye not that ye are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? *1 Corinthians 3:16 (ASV)*
📋We regard the Church building as a sacred place but do not so much regard our offices, market stalls or farms as a place where God dwells. Paul says, you are God’s temple. What is a temple? A place dedicated to the worship of a deity (God). This place is reserved and kept for sacred worship. Jesus told us that God does not dwell in a man-made temple. He lives in us. We can worship him with all our minds and hearts, living as though we are in a chapel. Notwithstanding the respect we have for God and his house, we still behave like the people of Ezekiel’s day where he said “Moreover this they have done unto me: they have defiled my sanctuary in the same day, and have profaned my Sabbath” Ezekiel 23:38 (ASV). Disciples of Jesus worship as they live out each moment of their lives. This makes us accountable for what we use our bodies for. The Holy Spirit lives in us therefore we have become a sacred place for him. Are you a sanctified place where God lives?
