Since Bitcoin was introduced in 2008 and the white paper published till right now, we don't know the person or group of people behind the Satoshi Nakamoto group which developed a project that has revolutionised and changed the digital transaction history for a very long time now.

Satoshi Nakamoto's Bitcoin project changed the world and brought about the cryptocurrencies we're having today...from defi to stable coins all basing on its pattern of coding, using blocks,hash and running a blockchain.

You can now make a financial transaction across the world from anywhere within a second all thanks to Satoshi Nakamoto....but who is he or the group behind that name is what we don't know. We only know he left the community in 2010 and hasn't been seen or heard from again since then.

For almost 12years researchers have been trying and hunting to find him or the group of people behind that name but still haven't yet.

Though they suspect some persons but it hasn't really been confirmed who yet.

In this post I'll talk about a number of persons that are being suspected to be Satoshi Nakamoto.

1. Hal Finney

Late Hal Finney was from california and used to work for the PGB cooperation. He was an experienced developer and one of the first persons to run the Bitcoin codebase and also has the address for the first Bitcoin transaction. Because of his expertise in programming it is believed that he could come up with the programming for Bitcoin but too bad he passed away in 2014 and no one could confirm if was the person behind Satoshi Nakamoto.

2. Nick Szabo

Nick Szabo is assumed to be one candidates that could be Satoshi Nakamoto,he designed a project called BitGold just before the invention of Bitcoin and he also came up with term we call smart contract today....it is believed that he's not really a cyberpunk and his BitGold project didn't share the same idea with Bitcoin,but who knows? He could be the Satoshi Nakamoto we're looking for.

3. Shinichi Mochizuki

Mochizuki is a mathematics prodigy with an American background and british writing skills just like the Bitcoin's creator and is able to create the Bitcoin's codebase...his long history with mathematical innovation makes him Fall among the suspects too.

4. Ian Grigg

He is a financial cryptographer and inventor of the Ricardian contracts and popular known for his work "Triple entry accounting".

He is believed to be Satoshi Nakamoto because of his technical expertise and his triple entry work that made mention of Byzantine generals where he solved the problem remarkably and also discussed the blockchain technology concept just three years before Bitcoin was introduced.

And his partnership with self-proclaimed Bitcoin inventor Craig Wright makes people believe he's one of the persons behind the Satoshi Nakamoto group.

5. Dorian Nakamoto

Dorian Nakamoto whose birth name was Satoshi Nakamoto was a Japanese American engineer who lived in California.

He was accused to be Satoshi Nakamoto in 2014 and he denied it completely saying "he was no longer involved in that".

It was later found out that the "that" he referred to was a government project he was working on.

6. Wei Dai

Dai is unknown and was mentioned and referenced in the Bitcoin whitepaper and it was found that his writings matched that of Satoshi Nakamoto.

It was also found that he and Satoshi wrote mails to each other but could he be playing double agent? Who knows?

7. Adam Back

Adam Back is the CEO of blockstream and the reason he made this list is because of his YouTube video titled "barely social" which say that Back could deny accusations if contacted for the blockchain program and Back wasn't seen until Satoshi left the community in 2010.

And it's works shows that the blockchain program must have been in progress since the late 1990s.

Could he be Satoshi? No one knows
