Ewww that word sex has really turned this world into one crazy place...we all know it's nice Making out,the feelings, emotions and relief that comes after it is all done, one good cum can make you feel like you're in heaven, yes that is as sweet as it gets but it also has some really bad sides when you're having it before being married.
It's really ok to have sex when you're married and you know you're responsible and ready for anything that comes out of it but when you're unmarried and having it, somethings that comes out of it can really break you rather than make you it you're not strong enough and we are going to talk about those things in this post,I know it would be long but do hold on and read and let these things sink in.
Most people that engage in premarital sex usually engage in unsafe sex which exposes them to dangers like STIs,STDs and even unwanted pregnancy.
STI/STD
What are STIs?
STI is an abbreviation for sexually transmitted infections.
These are infections transmitted through sexual intercourse from one person to the other,it can be as a result of a virus, bacteria or parasites that was passed during the sex.
The list can go on for a long time if we were to list all of them but I'll list a few and talk about them.
1.Human papillomavirus (HPV)
This is an infection that causes warts in various parts of the body, depending on the strain.
Human papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted infection (STI) with more than 1.5 million cases per year (Nigeria)
It has so many strains, some types preventable by vaccine, some can be treated, but this condition can't be cured and it can last for years or be lifelong.
Medical diagnosis and laboratory testing is required for its confirmation.
How it spreads
We all know it's a sexually transmitted disease so it can spread by having unprotected vaginal, anal, or oral sex.
It can also spread from mother to baby by pregnancy, labor, or nursing.
Symptoms
Symptoms are not always seen in infected people, they may look well and still be able to transfer the virus to others through sexual activities but the most common symptom is usually a wart on the genitals or surrounding area.
2.Genital herpes
A common sexually transmitted infection marked by genital pain and sores.
Caused by the herpes simplex virus, the disease can affect both men and women.it is very common with more than 1.5 million cases per year in Nigeria.
Treatment can help, but this condition can't be cured and can last for years or be lifelong
It is usually self-diagnosable though Laboratory tests or imaging often required to confirm the infection
HOW IT SPREADS
It spreads by having unprotected vaginal, anal, or oral sex and also by a mother to baby by pregnancy, labor, or nursing.
Symptoms
Pain, itching and small sores appear first. They form ulcers and scabs. After initial infection, genital herpes lies dormant in the body. Symptoms can recur for years.
3.Chlamydia
This is usually so common and has no symptoms with more than 100 thousand cases per year.
It can be treated by a medical professional resolves within days to weeks
It requires a medical diagnosis and Laboratory tests or imaging always required
It can be spread by having unprotected vaginal, anal, or oral sex or byy mother to baby by pregnancy, labor, or nursing
Symptoms
Many who have chlamydia don't develop symptoms, but they can still infect others through sexual contact. Symptoms may include genital pain and discharge from the vagina or penis.
4.Gonorrhoea
A sexually transmitted bacterial infection that, if untreated, may cause infertility.
Regular screening can help detect instances when an infection is present despite having no symptoms.
It is Very common with more than 1.5 million cases per year.
It is treatable by a medical professional resolves within days to weeks
Requires a medical diagnosis Laboratory tests or imaging often required to confirm the infection
HOW IT SPREADS
By having unprotected vaginal, anal, or oral sex.
By mother to baby by pregnancy, labor, or nursing.
Symptoms
Symptoms include painful urination and abnormal discharge from the penis or vagina. Men may experience testicular pain and women may experience pain in the lower stomach. In some cases, gonorrhoea has no symptoms so a test is always needed to confirm
5.HIV/AIDS
HIV causes AIDS and interferes with the body's ability to fight infections.
The virus can be transmitted through contact with infected blood, semen or vaginal fluids.
Common with more than 100 thousand cases per year (Nigeria)
Treatment can help, but this condition can't be cured
It is chronic and can last for years or be lifelong
Requires a medical diagnosis and laboratory tests or imaging always required to confirm
HOW IT SPREADS
By blood products (unclean needles or unscreened blood).
By having unprotected vaginal, anal, or oral sex.
By mother to baby by pregnancy, labor, or nursing.
Symptoms
Within a few weeks of HIV infection, flu-like symptoms such as fever, sore throat and fatigue can occur. Then the disease is usually asymptomatic until it progresses to AIDS. AIDS symptoms include weight loss, fever or night sweats, fatigue and recurrent infections.
6.Syphilis
contact that starts as a painless sore.
Syphilis develops in stages and symptoms vary with each stage.
Rare with Fewer than 100 thousand cases per year (Nigeria)
Treatable by a medical professional and resolves within months
Requires a medical diagnosis and Laboratory tests or imaging always required
HOW IT SPREADS
By having unprotected vaginal, anal, or oral sex.
By blood products (unclean needles or unscreened blood).
By mother to baby by pregnancy, labor, or nursing.
Symptoms
The first stage involves a painless sore on the genitals, rectum or mouth. After the initial sore heals, the second stage is characterised by a rash. Then, there are no symptoms until the final stage which may occur years later. This final stage can result in damage to the brain, nerves, eyes or heart.
You can see how dangerous STIs could be,so why not abstain from premarital sex and remove the fear of contracting these infections?
UNWANTED PREGNANCY
This is not a new case to all of us and as we know, it's the ladies that's always the victim of this.
After engaging in premarital affairs, most especially unsafe sex,I don't even know why I call it unsafe because even when using protection for sexual intercourse you're unsafe...you want to know why?
Ok the condom is made of rubber and most rubber as we know expand and stretch, yes they do if you didn't know this before.
And when they stretch, there's tiny little holes which the semen can escape through...I once worked at a laboratory and had to confirm this by viewing condoms under the microscope and I was shocked to see holes without even stretching it.
So if you're thinking you're safe without using condoms, think again.
So when you have unsafe sex like people call it, you're in dangers of getting pregnant as a lady and not for the first time, you sexual partner could deny the pregnancy and that would put you in a whole lot of dilemma, you'll be confused, feel rejected, the father of your baby isn't taking responsibilities and sometimes your family can abandon you and that brings you to a very stressful and "not prayed" for life.
So instead of facing these dangers and protecting your self against them while having premarital sex,why not just abstain from it and have nothing to worry about? You won't hear HIV and your heart will start pounding or miss a period and start asking all the unanswered questions.
Stay safe and abstain from premarital sex
