Philippine History: Conflict about First President of the Philippines

Did you know that there is a conflict in the event in which who is the first president ofthe Philippines, some says it was Andres Bonifacio and other says it was Emilio Aguinaldo. As all Filipino knows Emilio Aguinaldo was the first president of Philippines, there are justification of Aguinaldo as President.

1.He won over Andres Bonifacio as President in Tejeros Convention.

2.He was the President of Biak-na-bato Government establish in Bulacan.

3. On June 12, 1892 he declared the Philippine independence and form a dictatorial government in which he was the president.

4.Emilio Aguinaldo together with Apolinario Mabini formed Malolos Convention in Bulacan to create a new Philippine Government and once again he was elected as the president of the Philippines.

But other historians believe that Andres Bonifacio is consider as the first president since he was the Supremo, their are certain justification consider that Andres Bonifacio was the first president.

4.Founder of Katipunan, Initiator of Revolution

5.Office of Supreme President, Government of the Revolution

In one Spanish newspaper, they said it was justification for Andres Bonifacio, Spaniards also acknowledged him as the first president of the republic.
