One day, a father and his 3 years old son went to the park.
“Dad! What’s that?” asked the son.
“That’s a kite, son.” the father answered.
The son was amazed for a second then continued playing. A moment later he asked again.
“Dad! What’s that?” he asked pointing his finger at the sky when he saw a different color of a kite.
“It’s a kite,” he answered with a smile and pat his son’s head.
The boy went again on playing but after a few moments he saw another kite with a different color and went to ask his father about it again.
“Dad! Dad! What is that?”
The father laughed and for the nth time he answered. “That’s a kite, son”
The son continued asking up to more than 30 times while his father gladly answered him thinking that it was the cutest thing in the world.
Many years have passed and the son grew up into a fine man. He works away from home leaving his old father behind.
“I miss my son, I wish he stays a kid forever and doesn't have to leave me” the father thought while looking at his son’s portrait.
One day, he decided to call his son and ask him to visit even once. He knows that his son is busy but he was just hoping that he could spare him a little of his time.
The son finally decided to visit his father because he was calling and annoying him every day. The father was very happy and they went to the park.
“What do you need, Dad?” the son asked looking at his watch.
“What is that, Son?” the father asked, pointing his finger at the sky.
“Seriously, Dad? You told me to come here just to ask that? It’s obviously a kite!”
The father nodded and pointed another kite again.
“Oh! How about that, Son? What’s that?”
The son started to get annoyed. “Dad! You’re not funny! I still have so many things to do! I told you it’s a kite!”
The father heaved a sigh and smiled sadly at him.
“You know what, Son? When you were a kid, you kept asking the same thing over 30 times. I always answered you with a smile on my face. Now, you can’t even handle it twice.”
We should always treasure our parents because they are the best gift from the above and as we grow up and enjoy our leisure time they also get old and slowly lose their time. Let’s make their remaining time memorable by always saying our gratitude and showing them our love.
Spending time with our loved ones is never a waste of time, always remember that.
