We all have heard about this little proverb that says "**honesty is the best policy**", not once, twice nor thrice but multiple times. Yeah, what does being honest imply? Honesty simply implies being truthful and trustworthy. It further means developing a practice of speaking truth throughout someone's lifetime in any ramification or situation you find yourself be it worse or good one. What are the advantageous effects of being honest? Check them out below; **Honesty enhances authenticity**: As we all know the word "authentic" simply means being genuine or real. So does honesty implies too when we put it into practice. It enables people to know the real you, what you're capable of or not, it makes people to know your stand or worth in the society thereby making your dignity stand strong without blemish. **Honesty fosters courage:** Being honest helps to build up self-courage anytime and anywhere you find yourself. You tend to worry less about things coming your way since it's much easier to defend them without cutting corners. **Honesty help creates a circle of love**: In this aspect, an honest person tend to receive appropriate and genuine love from everyone irrespective of your age and background. They would choose to be with you and also stand with you even in the darkest moments, just because you're a trusted type. **Honesty fosters freedom**: In this aspect, an honest person tends to feel free to do anything of your choice since you've done nothing wrong. On like a deceitful type, he or she will always find it difficult to walk amidst people or share his or her thoughts amidst people because he knows how can't be trusted at least once. Being honest has varieties of advantages which all can't be made mention of. More benefits like it helps in developing good attributes such as discipline, kindness, trustworthiness, moral integrity etc. Lying, cheating, lack of trust, greed and other immoral attitudes have no impact on being honest. Honest people are always sincere, loyal and trustworthy throughout their lifetime. So, I think it's time to shoot our best shot now, and let's endeavor to be honest. It really pays a lot when being honest. The rewards might not come sooner but trust me, it's still gonna reflect, it might just take a little time for that to happen. Some might even be quicker.
