This is an independent way of life that will mature you
In a phase of life there is a time when we decide to live independently. And of course for the first time minding your own life. You can become stressed and confused about how to live the best you can on a limited income.
Whether you are still in school, college or already working, the problems you face will be not much different when you have to live alone,
Like it or not, sooner or later you have to live independently. Do not be afraid! Face this challenge as a process of maturation yourself.
You don't want to be called a child, do you?
Do these things to help you live independently. Prove you can!
1. Cost of living survey
The beginning of life in a place where you have to know how the conditions of your stay are. Do a price survey - the price of food, this and that stuff, a place to play or hang out, the average price for laundry, snacks, tutoring, and so on. This sounds trivial but you should know.
Once you know, then check your monthly income again. Adjust between your taste for something with your financial ability. Set your standard of living from now on.
2. Share your money
The key to dividing money is (learning) discipline. It's useless if you divide your money in such a way but you can't discipline yourself to obey your financial division from the start.
Divide your money into several parts, put it in a box, savings or envelope to make it more tidy. Divide the budget for eating, snacking, shopping, buying books, tutoring, playing and saving. Don't forget to always provide 10% of your monthly income for the budget just in case for unforeseen conditions (such as illness, lost wallet, and so on).
3. Learn to cook your own food
Of course you know, when it comes to eating, you may not always go out and eat out. Naturally you will eat three times a day which is also a waste if you keep eating out.
It would be very wise if you decide to cook yourself (in addition to being wise you will also charm your boyfriend. If you are a girl you will be considered a good wife to be, and if you are a boy then your girl will definitely mumble a little proudly.
No need to cook hard, starting with fried fried eggs, then fried rice, then stir-fried kale or spinach, until a simple soup. You can do everything if you want, everything is a learning process.
Tips: provide soy sauce, chili sauce and crackers or your favorite seasoning just in case it fails.
4. Limit your playing portion
Realize, you are wandering, and you are also learning how to live with everything that is mediocre, all the possibilities for good and bad. Don't be a spoiled child who if you run out of money then you report asking for more money. Aah .. he said not a child.
Living independently means that you also have to learn to live with concern, limiting yourself not to do the things that need to be done. Decide is playing really necessary? Hanging out is necessary? How much of your daily portion to play? How much to learn?
Then be responsible with every choice you make and make.
5. Shop wisely
only write down your important and urgent needs
Sometimes when we get income at the beginning of the month everything feels beautiful, a lot of money and it seems like you can buy anything. Be careful with such feelings, because otherwise you will be faced with a complicated problem at the end of the month.
Make a note of what about all the things you want starting with the criteria of important or not important and urgent or not urgent. Shop for items that are on important and urgent criteria. If you have money left over, use it for other secondary needs. And do not just buy things that are not important and not urgent.
6. If confused? Ask!
There are many things in a new place that you may not understand so quickly. Therefore feeling confused is a natural thing. But it will be a problem if you decide to keep quiet even though on the other hand you realize you don't know anything.
Don't be prestige. Make friends with people around you, neighbors, boarding house owners, rooms next to the boarding house/rented/apartment. Don't complicate what is actually very simple.
7. Don't forget to call your parents
Not to complain about your very tight finances or complain about all the difficult things to do. Call the old man who is far away to ask how he is. If asked how your condition is, you should not need to dramatize in such a way just to get mercy.
Show that you have grown up, say all is well and smooth. Make your parents proud that their child is now independent.
