Parenting comes with no guidebooks. Sure, you will have expert comments from the time you conceive till the time your baby grows big but nothing can prepare you for the wild ride of bringing up a child, who was so quietly resting in your womb for nine months! You will have your good days and some really bad, terrible days when you feel like you are losing it all. Welcome to the adventurous ride that we call parenting!

If you are a new parent or about to be one, you are likely to have expectations of how things are “supposed” to go. You might feel like the child is your own flesh and blood but that doesn't stop them from testing you. All those thoughts you have in your head when you plan of having kids do not come close to what actually happens when you have a kid. What you will actually realize is that when it comes to parenthood and raising kids, EXPECTATIONS are far from REALITY! One day your baby is snuggling, smiling and refusing to let you go and the very next day, he is throwing food at you and crying for no apparent reason!

1. Your child has to have the same taste buds as you, no? Think again.

2. Prioritizing daily chores after having a baby becomes a real easy task. (or not )

3. Weekends before having a child= Partying and socializing all day long

Weekends after having two kids under two= A lot more fun and none the quieter (unlike you would have expected)

4. Nothing beats taking a destressing vacation with your kids!

5. Before having kids: "When I become a parent, I will impart nice values and the kid will thank me later"

  1. Being a Pinterest mom or dad is not so easy!8. Being a Pinterest mom or dad is not so easy!
