Hello, great people of the greatest community. I'm glad to come your way again today.
Its no more a news that the central bank of Nigeria has declared bitcoin and other crypto coins illegal in Nigeria. They gave their reasons for taking such step, but with the details of their reasons, it wasn't enough reason to make such a declaration.
Since crypto is a form of liquid money, they believed they should have control over it just like they do with fiat (money]. What they failed to understand is that crypto is a decentralized system while fiat is centralized. Crypto is not controlled by anybody and cannot be controlled by anybody.
You can't declare it illegal on the basis that it can't be controlled by you. Except you want to create unnecessary noise as the majority of people involved in it are youths that just fought an unending battle under the umbrella of #endsars protest.
These are the youths you fail to gainfully employed that strife to make sense out of internet to earn their living. Now you want to put an end to that simply because you don't have control over the operation.
Well, all I know is that this could instigate another wide protest until such a stupid decision is changed.
