To Smile

To smile, lips stretch wide

thirty-two white men stand at attention.

at times they stand at ease

opening a hollow, guarded above by hard palate

that transits into a soft pink uvula & below by the glossus.

sometimes, a bursts of giggles

that one holds a hand over the mouth

with prominent zygomatics or cheek dimples.
