Jhang is the capital town of the Jhang District, within the central portion of the province of Punjab, Pakistan. placed on the east bank of the Chenab river, it's the 18th largest town of Pakistan by population. It is thought for the Shrine (Darbar) of Pir Abdul Rehman(R.A) shrine of Sultan Bahu and Heer and Ranjha tomb.
Jhang was implicit in 1288 by Rai Sial. the sial tribe administrated this area since the time until the last sial leader of Jhang, Ahmed Khan which was defeated by Ranjit Singh after wild battling.
District Jhang is separated into four tehsils, Jhang, Shorkot, Ahmed Pur Sial and, 18 Hazari. Jhang Sadar is the administrative center of Jhang tehsil. because of river Chenab Jhang and its nearby towns are mostly influenced by the flood.
Heer and Ranjha's tomb is famous for love as they had a true love and are in the same grave. People go there to pay attributes and pray for their love to be with them for a whole life.
Jhang's famous food is jalebi (a traditional dessert). An annual fair is held every year there in the memory of a saint. People enjoy it there, swing and shop there. Native prepare choori (a traditional food prepared from bread, sugar, and butter) and distribute it to their relatives and friends. People from nearby towns come to visit the fair.
