That field of science in which the principle and methods of physics are applied to the study of biological phenomena. It is concerned with physical phenomena in living systems, with investigation of the biological effects of physical agents, and with the use of physical methods in the studying of structure and function of biological systems. Biophysics is not well defined scientific discipline but a broad, borderland, and between the sciences where physicist, biologist and biochemist join efforts in the investigation of biological and biochemicals problems.
