How To Prepare The Moroccan Chicken Tagine With Vegetables in 3 Quick Steps.

Can you imagine the number of Tagines the Moroccan people eat every day? You might not because I assume that most of them prepare Tagines every single day either for lunch or for dinner. So let me show you the three main steps to prepare the Moroccan chicken tagine with vegetables.

  • Step 1: The first thing that you have to do is to take chicken and put it inside the Tagine. Cut union into small pieces and put it besides the chicken. Next, take some spices and mix them. You need to mix ginger, garlic, paprika, turmeric, cumin and saffron together and put them on the chicken. Add a small spoon of salt, pour some oil over the chicken, and cover the tagine. Heat the stove and put the tagine for ten minutes until you heard it frying then add some water (only half of a small cup) and stir it with a spoon.

  • Step 2: In this step, you have to add some vegetables like broccoli if you like it or you can just split two or three carrots, potatoes, and two zucchinis into slices and add them to decorate your Tagine. You can also add green beans or pea to your tagine. Add another small cup of water to you Tagine. Cover the Tagine and over low heat. Leave it for about 45 minutes then check if it is ready or not yet. (If it is not yet ready, you can add a small half cup of water and check it from for time to time)

  • Step 3: Check the chicken and the vegetables if they are fresh and cocked. Put your Tagine from the fire then you can serve it.
