How many of you haven't been nostalgic about these movies, like "Arround the World in 80 days" or "Singing in the Rain" ... or "An american in Paris" ... ?
For instance, Arround the World in 80 Days was my favorite for today.
Who have ever thought that people, and expecially my age, might remember those famous and brilliant actors ... When we think that this movie was released in 1957 ...
This movie in my opinion will remain an important reference for the movie industry ... Having such an amazing list with actors that, now, we can consider them as "classics" the movie distribution was awesome:
David Niven as Phileas Fogg
Cantinflas as Passepartout
Finlay Currie as Whist Partner
Robert Morley as Ralph
Charles Boyer as Monsieur Gasse
Robert Newton as Mr. Fix
Gilbert Roland as Achmed Abdullah
and the famous Marlene Dietrich as the saloon hostess
Now that i've mentioned the last name, i guess lots of people remembered her and her outstanding acting in those movies.
Who can forget Marlene Dietrich?
Arround the World in 80 days ... a classic that must be on your favorite movie list.
Now that i've mentioned another awesome movie, and of course it's another of my favorite movies, because of the music ... this would be An american in Paris ...
What an awesome story and the most important, a story directed by the protagonist as well ...
The one and only, Gene Kelly as a main protagonist of this amazing movie and in the same time the director, along with Stanley Donen
Music was composed by more than one artist. They were three talented musicians ... Arthur Freed, Nacio Herb Brown, Lennie Hayton ... Awesome music ...
I do recommend to everyone to watch at least these two wonderful movies and even to encourage your young kids to watch them, so, they will be able to understand that the World was always an interesting place to be :-)
