The test has to be temporarily stopped if a person suddenly falls ill in the UK during an Oxford vaccination test. Now Oxford University is saying that the reason why the Oxford vaccine test had to be temporarily stopped was not vaccine-related.
According to the news agency Reuters, Oxford has posted a document online containing information about the participants of the test. The British pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca is working on the vaccine.
According to a Reuters report, Oxford University and pharmaceutical manufacturer AstraZeneca are conducting a third or final test on coronavirus vaccine in the UK. Suddenly a vaccinated volunteer became seriously ill. On September 6, corona vaccine testing was discontinued.
However, AstraZeneca said at the time that it was part of regular testing to stop vaccination. However, the company did not give any details about the unexpected illness. According to various media reports, the man was suffering from 'transverse myelitis'. This causes pain in the spinal cord. This is seen as a side effect of the vaccine.
