However, AstraZeneca said at the time that it was part of regular testing to stop vaccination. However, the company did not give any details about the unexpected illness. According to various media reports, the man was suffering from 'transverse myelitis'. This causes pain in the spinal cord. This is seen as a side effect of the vaccine.
