The word computer comes from the Greek word 'compute'. The meaning of the word parasadhrab is to calculate. And the word computer (reading) means calculator. But computers are no longer just calculators. A computer is a device that receives information and analyzes and presents it through various processes. The influence of mathematics and computers is at the heart of the development of civilization and its rapid progress at present. The first computer came to Bangladesh in 1984.
The components of a computer system are hardware, software, humanware or users, data or information.
History: In ancient times people used oysters, pebbles, rope git etc. to indicate numbers. Although later various calculations and instruments were used in calculations, an ancient counting instrument called Abacus (Andhapang) is considered to be the first instrument in the history of computer. It was discovered in Babylon in 2400 BC. Abacus was made in Egypt or China in 450-500 BC as a calculating instrument.
Charles Babbage was the first to loudly promote the idea of building and using a modern instrument in the early nineteenth century. He named it the Difference Engine (Urvabhavatbhapab Uhmarhab). While working on this difference engine (in 1833) he came up with the idea of a more advanced and universal device called the Analytical Engine. The true beginnings of computer science came through Alan Turing's theoretical and later practical research. From the middle of the twentieth century, the development of modern computers began. The invention of the microprocessor in 1971 led to the rapid development of the microcomputer. There are many types of low cost personal computers (PCs) or PCs (PCs) available in the market. He has invented many operating systems, program languages, countless practical package programs. With this came the massive expansion of computer networks and the Internet and related services and services. Numerous institutional and non-institutional computer education and research institutes have been established and expanded for the purpose of providing computer education. In recent times, computers and information technology (IT) have taken over a large part of the business and employment has become largely computer dependent. Microprocessor-based computers have been on the market since Intel Corporation of America invented the microprocessor in 1981. IBM's personal computer or PC came on the market in 1981. Then one by one high-powered microprocessors were invented and powerful PCs were created.
Types of computers: Computers can be divided into three groups based on their design and operation principles. Namely- analog computer, digital computer, hybrid computer.
Digital computers can be further divided into four categories based on size, capability, price and importance of use. For example, microcomputers, mini computers, mainframe computers, supercomputer microcomputers can be divided into two parts. Namely - desktop and laptop.
Usage: It has immense use in various fields starting from housework to business, scientific etc. Above all, it brings a unique impetus to communication. It is also a unique partner in medical and human welfare. In a word, a computer is a device that is capable of doing almost everything.
GIS Computer: Computer is used in the field of AOJ technology. In this technology, various information is added to the map with the help of computer.
