**"When will I die?"** **No, I don't want to die yet. I'm too young to die. I'm only 22 years old and I still have a long way to go and many dreams to achieve. But sometimes I find myself asking this question.** **"When will I die?"** Of all the questions I have encountered, this is the only question that I couldn't answer. Perhaps this is the hardest question we will ever encounter. **"Memento Mori Exhortations Incerta Mortis Hora."** The hour of our death is uncertain. Nobody knows when will we leave everything behind. Even if you go and ask that fortune-teller, she can never give you the right answer for this question. **Only God knows when and how.** But being the curious human being that I am, I sometimes ponder this question. Sometimes, I think of my own death. Will I die in a car accident? Will I get poisoned after eating the food someone gave me because of her jealousy? Will I die in my sleep? Will I have a chronic disease? Will I die early? Will I die in my twenties, or thirties, or forties? Or will I die because I'm too old to live already? And if I die, will the people I love shed a tear for me? Will they miss me when I'm gone? Will they also post a eulogy on Facebook? Will my parents be devastated? Will my friends care? Will the people who got to know me find some time to visit me in my own wake? And once I'm gone, will they remember the good deeds that I've done for the people dear to me? Or will they forget me as soon as possible and continue with their lives? **Death is inevitable.** Of all the things that are constantly changing, **death is permanent.** **"Memento Mori."** **Remember, you are mortal.** We are all destined to leave this planet, whether we like it or not. No matter how wealthy or famous you are, we all have the same destiny. We will all be lying 6-feet below the ground or cremated. **"You Only Live Once."** No, we live every day and we only die once because we only have one life. **"I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." -Maya Angelou** I'm not a good person. I am aware of this truth. This is why I keep wondering about my own death. Because every time, I remember the people I have treated wrongly. I made a lot of mistakes and I keep making them. I can't deny that I've used people to my own advantage. I've hurt others both unintentionally and intentionally, which makes me a bad person. But thinking of my own death also makes me want to make up with the people special to me. I always want to make them feel loved and cared for. **Carpe Diem!** Seize the moment. Don't let each day pass right in front of you. Every waking day is a blessing from God. We might not recognize this blessing as it is but it is always given to us. **When will I die?** I don't know. But what I know is that as long as I live, I will make each day memorable and productive. **Am I ready to die?** No, I'm not. This is why I always pray to God to give me a long life. I have a lot of goals and dreams not just for myself but also for my family. I always tell God that if He decides to take away the life He has given me, I can only hope that I get to fulfill my purpose in life before my time comes. **"To Inspire and Be Inspired."** This has been my mantra since I discovered this platform. My life is not perfect, nor am I. But I am trying my best to live to this purpose. **In the end, what matters is how we lived our lives.** It's not about how much money you were able to make. It's not about how famous you were. It's not about the material possessions you were able to acquire. What matters is how many people you were able to touch. It's about how many people you were able to inspire. It is about how you lived a meaningful and purposeful life. **So live your life to the fullest and always remain in the joy of the Lord.**
