Manchester City 'Building the first Football Stadium in the Metaverse'

We've seen games in the metaverse, real estate in the metaverse, now stadiums in the metaverse?!

Following the NFL Metaverse, 'NFL Tycoon', Manchester City has started building a stadium in the Metaverse, with the help of SONY.

Man City have signed three-year deal with SONY and the Etihad stadium is currently being mapped digitally to recreate it in virtual reality so by 2025(latest), we should have our first Metaverse football stadium.

Man City's chief marketing officer, Nuria Tarre told the newspaper:

"The whole point we could imagine of having a metaverse is you can recreate a game, you could watch the game live, you're part of the action in a different way through different angles and you can fill the stadium as much as you want because it's unlimited, it's completely virtual."

If this project is successful, then we're about to see a 'Metaverse boom' in the world and with the stadium monetized, Crypto will definitely have a role to play.

I'm really excited and more bullish than ever about the Metaverse as a whole, because of the infinite ideas, possibilities and innovations that can be brought to life through the metaverse.
