Importance of geothermal energy

Geothermal energy is heat from the Earth. It's clean and sustainable. Resources of geothermal energy range from the shallow ground to steam, hot water, and hot rock accessed by drilling wells up to thousands of feet beneath the Earth's surface. The extremely high temperatures in the deeper geothermal reservoirs are used for the generation of electricity.
Geo thermal energy is the best way to produce electricity because not like the other compounds, it is natural occurence or it is produce naturally and it is nafural friendly energy.

Geothermal Energy Disadvantages

Potential emissions – Greenhouse gas below Earth’s surface can potentially migrate to the surface and into the atmosphere. Such emissions tend to be higher near geothermal power plants, which are associated with sulfur dioxide and silica emissions. Also, and the reservoirs can contain traces of toxic heavy metals including mercury, arsenic and boron.

Surface Instability – Construction of geothermal power plants can affect the stability of land. For example in January 1997 a construction of geo thermal energy in switzerland triggered an earthquake becuase they accidentally touches a fault.

High cost for electricity – Total costs usually end up somewhere between $2 – 7 million for a 1 MW geothermal power plant.

Where can we find the geothermal energy?

Geothermal energy is an abundant energy qhuch is created naturally but it is hard to find because we can only find it beneath our earth crust so you need an equipment to make a hole towards the bottom of earths crust. So we can only find geothermal energy beneath our land it is only abundant in our Earth core so making 1MW geothermal power plant can cause millions or even billions.

So we must conserve and dont waste natural resources...kamo na hahal dri na part basta kani dri about sa dapat magtipid
