The book of acts depicts the activities of the apostles and It also portrays the acts of the Holy Spirit and the Pentecost day, the day when the Holy Spirit gave the apostles the Gift of speaking in different languages. It is tells the story of a man called Paul, who persecuted Christians. He attacked anyone who follows the way of Christ or worships in synagogues. But this man was an author who wrote many chapters of the bible. The book of acts is very important and it teaches many lessons.

Acts 9:1 says "But Paul, threatening with every breath and eager to destroy every Christian, went to the High Priest in Jerusalem". This verse is telling us about a man named Paul and all the crimes he committed against God . He treated Christians like nonentities and infidels and he also did his best to chase Christianity out of Jerusalem. Paul was on the road to Damascus until the day our Lord Jesus caught him by surprise. After that encounter, he became a christian and was baptized in the name of Jesus. He started preaching the gospel and won souls for the kingdom of God. Only the precious Blood of Jesus can save anyone from his sins and deliver him from evil.

This story is teaching us that no matter how the situation is, whether good or bad, one can still be accepted into the kingdom of God. The verse tells us that no condition is permanent, one can still change his ways. Paul persecuted a lot of Christians but a time and he was delivered. God accepted Him into heaven and he joined one of God's generals. He was an evil man, but now he is a good man. Change is reversible when it comes to working with God and preaching His word. Even a murderer or a thief can be taken up to heaven, if only he pledges his loyalty to God.

No condition is Permanent when it comes to the work of God. Paul was a bad man but his story changed, now he works for God. A bad person can become a good person only if he acknowledges Christ. God loved Paul that is why he saved him from his iniquities and pulled him out from the ways of the devil. It was because of that same love that God sacrificed his only son, just to save all of us. God is very merciful and kind, the love which He gives to us should not be taken for granted.

The verse teaches us about passion for the word of God and salvation. When Paul was converted he developed passion for God and that is why he preached the word everywhere he goes. Before Paul was converted, his name was Saul the persecutor of Christians. This tell us that when we are accepted by God, everything about our lives change. Paul joined the apostles of Jesus in preaching the gospel. God bless his word in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

I believe there must be a sincere repentance that turns into humility, so that God can forgive, and I believe that God will put various tests on him to know his loyalty.
