Jacob is a God - fearing who was endowed and blessed with divine wisdom and intelligence. Jacob's brother Esau is a man that didn't have such numerous qualities and that is how he sold his birthright and his blessings.
Anyway according to the blessing side, their father told Esau to go and hunt for meat, cook it and bring it to him and he would bless. On his way off Rebekah heard of this and told Jacob to wear the skin of an animal that is as hairy as Esau and the blessing were given to Jacob.
This annoyed Esau when he came back home, then he began to look for Jacob not knowing that his mother had already planned for him to go to her relatives. The story is quite sorrowful for Esau, that is not where the long story was cut short Esau went further with many men to get Jacob and kill him but that didn't come out as planned because God was with Jacob.
God ministered to Jacob in different ways such as dream, vision, trances and other unconscious ways of passing information to your children and followers.
At last when Esau cut short with his brother nothing really happened, he hugged him instead of killing him which is practically called love for one another. There is something we call brotherly and sisterly love as Christians, this is not a love such as that of marriages .
Brotherly and sisterly love can also be called love between the congregation and the pastor of each other, this love can also be called Agape love. There are many unbelievers and sinners who have killed their brothers without hesitation because of something that will be irrelevant because one should not just kill his brother even though he did something bad.
It was that same love God had for us that he gave the only son he had gotten to the world for the forgiveness of their sins. They may think that God isn't there or he is unimportant but they who do that are destroying themselves because God is the giver of life and blessings, if you want anything from God you must approach Him, love and care for Him just as He does for you.
God is a jealous God hat is because people are not worshiping Him that brought them into existence, they are worshiping other foreign gods. Another simple fact about Joseph was that God was with him everywhere he goes and anywhere He goes, this is as a result of the love Jacob has for Him.
God will surely protect those devote their time and life to God and show them His salvation. Although He was far from home God still took care of him till the day Esau saw him and hugged him.
Love is a wonderful attribute that should not be tampered with even when someone dies in a family, the love you have and had for that person is the reason why you cry.
The tears is uncontrollable cause of the love you have for that person. So I would advice Christians to love God with their heart, soul and mind so that they can be saved and accepted into the house of the Lord.
