Illerate Single Mum

The general meaning of illerate is someone who can't read or write, here is a story of a young lady who became a single mum at a young age. Kofo is a bright girl, she stays with her grandma because her both parent had alot of kids and they need to split them, because of her smartness, her grandmother agreed to pick her up, kofo went through primary school so she isn't totally illerate, she stays in the village and her grandmother sells fruit, she helps her hawk after school everyday and she also does all the house chores. She begans to grown into a pretty lady and then the eyes of the villages boys and men can get off her, ofcourse she is pretty.

Her grandmother is getting older and then she can't work anymore, kofo took it upon herself to cater for their needs, she started engaging herself in petty trade she sells firewood, she sells fruit and at a point in her life, she had already save up and then she started selling cooked food, she hawks from street to street just to generate income. On a faithful day, she came across a police officer who had came to the village at that time to spend some time with his extended family, this young man was intrigued by not just her Beauty but also by her tasty food, the police officer bought food and asked her to keep the change, so after then, this man has being on her case, he went as far as telling his aunty to help speaks to the family of kofo, so after a while they got married and they both moved to the city.

Kofo is now a newly wedded wife in the city, she is in a totally different world, she is still trying to figure a way to care for a man, she has no clue on how to do that and then she had to learn how to cook some intercontinental dishes which is her husband's favourite, she had to learn how to dress in the modern way, she need really needs to learn alot. All of this she is still learning when she got pregnant with her first child, she was having severe early morning symptoms and then she can't lay her hands on anything till the pregnancy was six month, she looks so unkept and then the husband begins to wonder how she turn into such a mess like that, as of that time the man was already sleeping around, she had six kids and already had a provision store to herself by the time her husband packed out of the house.

Then she became a single mother with six children, when their isn't any clue on how get financial support from the husband every month and also she is illerate, she cried all night thinking on where to start her life again and then she braced up and start picking up her pieces together, she is ofcourse an hardworking woman, she then promised her children especially her four girls to see them through school no matter what it takes. Well at a time in her life, things were really tough, when she had already spend the money from the provision store on her kids well-being, the landlord sent her packing, she with her children slept on the cold floor for days and then she started working in a restaurant as a dishwasher, and at night she sleep in the restaurant with her children.

So, after along while she was introduced into a machine making factory, she worked there with her kids and while at it, she lost two of her children to the hazardous effect in the factory. She had no where to run too,no where to go. She was compensated with a huge amount of money by the factory owner and she rented a single room and used the rest to set up a restaurant, and six month after she sent her four children, three girls and a boy to school at once, and they all came top in their choose field of study, they were given schoolarship to continue their study abroad and now Madam Kofo is in cool wealth. Who are we to blame for her early misfortune ? Or shouldn't we blame anyone ? Is it her fault that she always fall sick at the early stage of her pregnancy ? Is she supposed to get married without having her own means of livelihood ? Can we call this fate ? What is your opinion on this ?
