Introduction :
Corruption is one of the most serious social problems in Bangladesh. Because corruption has become the main policy for a class of people today. Corruption is rampant in all walks of life, from the highest levels of state administration to the grassroots. National development is being hampered by corruption, the wheel of progress is turning backwards. We need to remove this social disorder. The country must be liberated from corruption and achieve the desired liberation.
The Omnipresent Form Of Corruption :
That is a matter of sadness and shame, According to Transparency International, Bangladesh has been ranked as the most corrupt country in the world five times in a row. Corruption is rampant in all walks of life.Digesting unknowingly with a loan from a bank, Illegal occupation of government property, Embezzlement of relief tin, food, clothing, etc. allocated for the poor, Electricity, water, gas theft, income tax evasion, tax evasion, job-opening companies,Smuggling, black market, stock market fraud, not taking a case to the police station for real crime, where is there no corruption ??
There has even been corruption in the allocation of wheat for the needy, the seating of orphans, the wave tin for the afflicted and the charitable aid. In the name of development, tender bidding, education, health, employment, communication, even in the judiciary and corruption are rampant. Ordinary people are lost today due to rampant corruption. People today are losing confidence in values and principles of justice.
The people of a country that can achieve independence through bloody war can never be defeated by corruption. The daily life of the common man is plagued by the horrors of corruption in Bangladesh. Politics, economy, education, administration, judiciary have all been corrupted by totalitarian corruption. Extortion has been nationalized, corruption has taken on the character of a terrorist through bidding, extortion, etc.
Corruption Is An Obstacle To Development :
Corruption is the main obstacle to the development of Bangladesh. The success achieved by the labor of the common man is tarnished by corruption. The country is being hampered by the loveless leader and party system, which is hampering the expected development, Valuable resources of the country are being looted, they are being smuggled abroad for the benefit of individuals and groups, Far from alleviating the misery and poverty of the people, the number of landless poor people is increasing. The creation is huge wealth inequality. Recently, various organizations and donors have identified corruption as a major obstacle to Bangladesh's development.
What To Do To Prevent Corruption :
We know that terrorism, black money, political malpractice have given a terrible scope to corruption. As a result, ordinary people are being deprived of their basic rights. Human rights are being violated. State agencies and service providers are already mired in corruption. We must get out of this situation.
We have to realize that we can't pushing the independent country, which has been achieved through many struggles and sacrifices, towards its downfall. Since politics and economy are the main drivers of a country's development, the establishment of morality and the prevention of political corruption must come first. As the spread of corruption in the state administration and judiciary has paved the way for political malfeasance, therefore, in the greater interest of the country, it is necessary to reform and appoint morally advanced people.
Transparency and accountability must be provided in all cases. Ensure free flow of information. The rule of law and the foundation of justice must be established in all spheres of society and the state. A true patriot, a leader of the people must be elected.People from all walks of life should be involved in the anti-corruption movement. Corruption must arouse the hatred of all people in society. They need to be socially boycotted. The slogan of this movement may be: Hate the corrupt, protect the country from corruption, Now is the time to stop the corrupt.
Conclusion :
The Independent Anti-Corruption Commission has to play a more effective role in eradicating corruption. Honest, unselfish, patriotic people should be involved in this work. People from all walks of life today have to take a united and firm stand against corruption. The media, NGOs, social and cultural organizations can play an important role in this regard. Black money owners and political mischief must be blocked. There is no substitute for good governance to prevent corruption and achieve development.
