Snakes wake up from hibernation in the spring. With warming, more and more of them are in nature.
The hops are usually up to 60 cm long. Males can be longer. They are stocky and have on top
"Snout" a horny growth (like a horn). In speed, it is difficult to determine which snake is poisonous, but
venomous animals have a distinctly triangular head and a narrowed neck (in non-venomous animals the head is ovoid and slightly
continues on the body). In the extended part of the hopscotch's head (up to the neck), poison is stored.
When he moves, his head is raised above the ground. The tail is sharp. It lives up to 15 years. Usually
spends time on a lighted and sunny rocky outcrop. At higher temperatures, it stays in the shade.
It is usually thought that it got its name from the fact that it jumps. Actually, hopscotch once looking for
he also goes to low vegetation with food, so from there, he knows how to jump to prey. It feeds on lizards,
mice, small snakes (snakes), and birds. It has not been noticed that there are over 2000
m / NV. In spring and autumn, they are more active during the day, and in summer - at night.
The hippopotamus sees well at night. It's not moving fast. He is not timid and, as a rule, does not run away, but curls up
a defensive position, and when he is scared, he knows how to "hiss". He doesn't have a hearing aid but he "hears" over
soil vibration. He attacks when he is scared (surprised). Steam is usually done once in the spring, and less often 2
times a year. In one elevation can be 3-10, and rarely up to 15 fruits. The female does not lay eggs
rather than bearing live fruit. The eggshells remain in the female and she later sheds them. Extremely rare
it happens that a viper eats another viper
Its enemies are usually beasts, eagles (snakes), and mongooses.
Along the back, it has a distinct regular curve of black to dark gray or brown. It has a strong and deadly
poison. It is considered the most venomous snake in Europe. You have to be extremely careful with poisonous plants.
The bite is usually with both teeth at a distance of about 5-10 mm, but it can also bite with one tooth.
If a trace of multiple teeth is noticed, it is probably not a poison. The bite site is soon over
swelling and pain appear. If the bite is in a finger or hand you should immediately remove the rings or bracelets because
it is later impossible because of the swelling. As early as 30 minutes after the bite, the mouth begins to dry
the hop head when it decides to attack (bite) is extremely fast. General rules for navigating
mountains, especially where it is rocky, are deep shoes and long pants (it is good to have
kamashne). A mountaineering or other stick is very useful because hitting the ground or rocks with it -
we timely warn the hopscotch to bow down. Strictly avoid bare hands
move rocks or slip your fingers into cracks when climbing rocks. Always address
attention to where you need to sit / squat.
There are about 10 species of snakes in our Balkan region, but also three venomous snakes from the family Viperidae:
Viper (Vipera ammodytes), Bosnian hinge (Vipera berus Bosnians have a strong venom but in
a small amount), and Balkan carp (Vipera ursinii macrops, the least poisonous). From poison ivy,
only hops can be seen on Raja.
However, most recommend the following:
Moderately tie just above the site of the bite (towards the heart) and immobilize the site, when
is possible. Every 3-5 minutes, loosen the bandage so that the blood passes to the rest of the body (ka
heart). Immediately after the bite, press around the wound so that the blood with the poison is expelled as much as possible.
At the site of the bite, two incisions are made in the form of a cross ("+") up to 3-4 mm deep
bite) and with circular pressure around the wound, let the wound bleed. It is recommended that one
incision connects the puncture site and the other crosswise to that line. Make incisions with a razor or sharp
object that has previously been burned or/or wiped with alcohol. It should be placed on the wound a strong solution of hypermanganese and (if possible) inject a one percent solution around the wound
hypermanganese. Give as much fluid as possible at once, but not alcohol, which speeds up circulation.
Then he should be transferred to a medical institution as soon as possible to receive antidotes.
