gather all of these ingredients together. 

For 10 donuts, you will need:

  • 2 cups bread flour (plus extra for dusting)

  • 2teaspoons active dried yeast

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 4 teaspoons caster sugar (plus extra for dusting)

  • 5 teaspoons unsalted butter (extra to grease)

  • 1/3 cup whole milk

  • 3 tablespoons water

  • 1 medium egg (beaten)

  • 2 quarts vegetable oil
