VOLTES V: LEGACY LIVE-ACTION IN THE MAKING!

I myself is more than excited to watch it started..
Voltes V: Legacy is the Filipino live-action adaptation of the classic anime series from Japan, Chōdenji Machine Voltes V. This local adaptation of Voltes V is approved by the producer of the original anime series, Toei Company, Ltd, and the company that dubbed and translated the anime into English, Telesuccess Productions Inc.
It is a real bomb from the past!
When GMA dropped their first trailer for their upcoming remake live-action of Voltes V: Legacy I was in shock for a moment. My heart just beat faster as my eyes locked on my phone screen. The moment the japanese song started makes my eyes teared up!. Try to watch it and you will understand what Im talking about. Hehe
Lets move on. The remake is a copy of our beloved Japanese anime with the same title which is known from the 70’s. The series will centers around the robot called Voltes V and its five pilot created to fight the aliens known as Boazanians who attacked the earth. And the fans were given a glimpse of the short clip which shows the invasion of the Boazanian Empire on earth and the Voltes V’s team leader, Steve Armstrong.
Since the anime already has a lot of devoted fans, the series needed to meet the high expectations which I myself did ever since I watched the trailer. I was amazed with the CGI quality. It was at the higher level.
The large scale of fight scenes which is known for it and the dynamic sequences is a huge challenge for the one of the best Philippines TV network GMA's CGI team. I wonder if they can pull it of until the end.
Since this is the first time GMA making a remake of an anime, I expect them to do their very best for the devoted fans of Voltes V. Which will surely watch it expecting it to be as good as the original. Since Mark Reyes is directing the series, lets expect it to be good since he is the one directed the ENCANTADIA.
Now its time to meet our Artist who'd going to play the role of the Five pilot of Voltes V.:
Miguel Tanfelix is Steve Armstrong
He is known for starring in numerous GMA shows, including the recent sequel of Mulawin where he reprised his role as Pagaspas. He will be playing the leader of the Voltes V pilots, Steve Armstrong, who rides the Volt Cruiser that becomes the head of Voltes V. I guess they are really choosing one of the best.. Good choice!
Ysabel Ortega is Jamie Robinson
Up and coming actress Ysabel Ortega gets her first major role as Jamie Robinson after she signed up to the Kapuso network in 2019. Jamie is the only female member of the Voltes V pilot and is equipped with the skills of a ninja. She is the pilot of the Volt Lander which turns into Voltes V’s feet. She is also the daughter of Commander Robinson who leads the Earth International Defense Force and is a co-designer of the Voltes V.
Radson Flores is Mark Gordon
Startruck 2019 alumnus Radson Flores will be playing Mark Gordon, who is skilled in riding horses and using a whip. He pilots the Volt Bomber, which transforms into the arms of Voltes V.
Matt Lozano is Big Bert
Musician and Eat Bulaga’s ‘Spogify’ winner Matt Lozano plays the role of Big Bert, Steve’s younger brother. He is the team’s defense tactician and an expert at hand-to-hand combat. Big Bert rides the Volt Panzer which becomes the torso of the Voltes V.
Raphael Landicho is Little Jon
Playing the youngest Armstrong sibling, Little Jon, is Raphael Landicho. Despite his young age, Little Jon, is dubbed a genius for his knack for inventing automatons. He is the pilot of the Volt Frigate that transforms into the legs of Voltes V.
Martin del Rosario is Prince Zardoz
Martin del Rosario is known for starring in films such as Ang Manananggal sa Unit 23B, Amorosa, Born Beautiful, and The Panti Sisters. This time, he will be playing the show’s main antagonist Prince Zardoz, who leads the Boazanian attack on Earth. In my own opinion, he is one of the best actor who can portray Prince Zardoz character very well. I love his acting skills. He is so natural.
Liezel Lopez is Zandra
StarStruck 6 alumna Liezel Lopez has been in the local remake of My Love From the Star and has starred in Magpakailanman and Tadhana. She will be playing Zandra in Voltes V: Legacy, the loyal aide and lover of Prince Zardoz.
I also love Gabby Eigenman who will play as Commander Robinson. He is a legend for me.. Great actor who can be evil and nice.
