Decrypted, a new crypto movie about Satoshi Nakamoto, the mysterious creator of Bitcoin, is in production. In this “outrageous and provocative dark comedy,” Satoshi Nakamoto is kidnapped by the NSA and tortured for information that could help the government destroy cryptocurrency. This is the plot of the movie Decrypted, which is expected to be released in 2020. The production company reports that it has 70% of the film in the can, and will resume shooting as soon as is practical
Actor Akie Kotabe plays Satoshi Nakamoto. In this movie he is hijacked by the NSA for information on how to destroy cryptocurrencies. Meanwhile, his accomplice and lover, Sofía Pérez, played by actress Talisa García, does her best to support him. The Decrypted movie presents us with the creator of Bitcoin in a very human and vulnerable way, enough to be captured by the dreaded United States intelligence agency.
According to the producer Phil Harris the film was written with the intention to expose how American intelligence services see cryptocurrencies and the threat they represent.
