Design is not art.

When we talk about design, we mean creating solutions.

For example, bees are a great example of this.

They had to locate in a reduced space: food (pollen and honey), habitats where they raise workers and drones, as well as contain their larvae.

Yes, all that you read in such a small space.
Honeycomb cells on opposite sides.

They designed a way to place in a reduced space as many cells as possible, and that these were very solid to each other, to house about 80,000 bees approximately. Each section of cells has specific characteristics, depending on what the bees will use them for.

That's design.

Art.

It is the expression, through different techniques, of the artist's feelings, emotions, messages, values.

It does not follow patterns, it does not have to meet certain specifications, it is what the artist wants to transmit and how he wants to transmit it. It is subjective.

Principles have been established throughout history about color, composition, texture, among others. However, this has never limited the artist, when he wants to create the artist just lets himself go, regardless of whether he uses paint, charcoal, a mixture of both, etc, anything you can imagine.

I would say that art is more inherent to the human being, it is the language of the mind. Design is more inherent to nature.

Design must be functional, it is not judged by "pretty" or "ugly", there is no room for those "attributes" since beauty is subjective.

Subjectivism is art.
