Eid ul Adha: A symbol of great sacrifice!!!!
It had been eid ul azha on 10th of july this year(10 dhil hajj Islamic year), a very holy and beautiful festival for muslims all over the world in which all the muslims give sacrifice of animals in the memory of the non comparable sacrifice of the Prophet Ibrahim and His beloved son Ismail.
Eid ul adha reminds of the memory of the sacrifice Prophet Ibrahim gave when Allah ordered him to sacrifice his most precious one in this life, and that was his son Ismail. He discussed this matter with his son that Allah wants him to sacrifice his beloved son, the son was indeed a gift he immediately agreed to His father’s decision and presented his neck for the sacrifice even though he was just 14 years old, the father was so moved with his son’s decision, he blind folded himself because he couldn’t see his son dying in front of him, when he was about to cut his son’s throat Allah ordered an angel to replace Prophet Ismail with a sheep from heavens.
So on the 10th of dhul hajj, muslims perform pilgrimage at the religious place of Kabah and then perform sacrifice of sheeps, goats, bull, cows and camels.
This year, we sacrificed a goat and a bull in the memory of Prophet Ibrahim, I pray to Allah that next year He provide us especially my parents the chance to go for pilgrimage to kabah.
They were super lovely and super adorable, the sacrificial moment is always emotional every year but it reminds us that A father can sacrifice his beloved son on the command of Allah, how can we hesitate to sacrifice our beloved animals in the name of Allah.
