Reports have come from Venezuela authorities that a decree, issued Monday by the Venezuelan authorities, requires all Bitcoin miners to join a national "pool" or face penalties.
The document confirms the creation of a “National Digital Mining Pool”, which seeks to bring together all miners operating on Venezuelan territory. All those who operate ASIC equipment for mining Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies will have to connect to this “pool” to work legally.
The Venezuelan authorities will therefore be in charge of the management of this national cooperative and will distribute the bitcoin rewards to Venezuelan miners. The problem raised by Criptonoticias is that this state operator will be able to impose taxes on minors, delay payments or freeze their funds even if they have done their share of the work.
