Bitcoin mining has certainly caused a lot of talk and discussions in the world we live today and not only that, the Iranian holding company TPPH announced last week that it will devote part of the energy produced by three of its power plants exclusively to "mining" Bitcoin.
A new regulatory provision makes it possible to power plants in July the country to engage in this industry subject to having obtained the necessary licenses. The equipment, powered by natural gas turbines, is said to have been installed at the Ramin, Neka and Shahid Montazeri power plants north of Isfahan. The turbines concerned are not connected to the national grid and will be entirely used to mine bitcoins.
