Schnorr, Taproot and Tapscript integrate Bitcoin code.

The signatures of Schnorr ( BIP 340 ), Taproot ( BIP 341 ) and Tapscript ( BIP 342 ) have today integrated the code of Bitcoin Core, the reference implementation of the Bitcoin protocol. The next version of the software could be released in December but the mechanism for activating the three BIP * has not yet been decided.

The signatures of Schnorr and Taproot, are the most significant improvements made to Bitcoin since the activation of Segregated Witness (SegWit) . Once activated, they will improve both the confidentiality, the flexibility of the scripts but also the scalability of Bitcoin.
