Technology we all know has revolutionised the way we do everything, even a phenomenon like talking to each other has transitioned to Messaging one another and it has taken a different dimension than what we were used to. It all used to face-to-face, but with the introduction of technology, it brought about a bridge to connect us all. Irrespective of where one was and what time zone we could all be interacting at the same time.
The introduction of technology however widened the trustlessness gap that was already growing. There was a level of distrust growing and tech further helped to widen that distrust though. But what we have today are companies who still structure their Messaging apps like the trust still exists. Take a cursory glance through Twitter, Facebook and you will see a lot of users with anonymous Avi's as their display or profile pictures. Platforms like Voice know this, and they make it compulsory for users to undergo a facial KYC before they give you access to their platform.
It just goes to show though that the level of distrust is growing and will growing for the foreseeable future, many choose to remain anonymous and watch what they put online. With the Corona virus pandemic that divide has been further widened and the smartest companies are those who capitalize on this trend. I firmly believe that whatever Messaging app or company that appeals to this will be the one who will last for the long term because this trend doesn't look like it will be ending anytime soon.
That's why I'm super bullish about Status. They play to the needs of the average 21st century user who wants to keep his identity secret. Being in the Marketing industry myself, it means I have to use a bunch of accounts across different platforms and even the one which are my main accounts don't have my real name or picture.
With Status it gives maximum privacy from the sign-up phase and protects the users identity to the fullest. Each Status user is given a Three-word-identity phrase that serves as your name. It could be something like "Torn Better Yak", it is all to keep your privacy and ensure maximum security for all their users.
If you're like me and you've grown a distrust for centralized Messaging platforms like Facebook and the likes who I believe do nothing but steal our data and sell it to the highest bidder, then Status is a safe bet option. Built with State-of-the-art Web 3 technology, Status sure is here to stay. Their app also has an in-built wallet and a browser with access to top Ethereum DApps. Everything you need in one place from chatting for fun and entertainment to wallet for storing and sending your token and DApps for doing business.
They are one project I believe are heavily undervalued for the tech they offer. I don't expect it to stay that way for much longer though. If all goes well and we altseason begin this December it definitely wouldn't hurt to get a bag and wait on altseason that I expect to begin rather soon.
