The word “Private Messaging” to me has for long been an irony. The irony of it all is that most of those who claim to offer this much sought after feature are anything but private. The recent WhatsApp privacy policy scandal has shown us one thing for sure and it is that there’s always something to be gained by the big corporations. If it isn’t money from the users then it’s their data harvested from the so called ‘privacy apps’.

There are a plethora of apps right now that claim to offer a modicum of privacy but the more you deep dive into understanding them the more you see that far from it they do not. It seems though that Blockchain might be the only solution to privacy as we know it. Some of the core tenets of Blockchain as we know are its decentralization, Privacy and the anonymity it provides. This if you ask me I what Private messaging should posses. The ability to be decentralized and not controlled by a central authority, it should provide maximum privacy and not give back end access to some people, and it should offer anonymity to is users from prying eyes.

Blockchain it seems is the only solution to the privacy haggle, luckily there are Blockchain solutions dedicated to making privacy truly a thing and not a fairytale utopia we hope for. One of them is Status Privacy app; an app like the name says that dedicated to bringing true privacy to its users. Status comes with inbuilt privacy as users have to choose Three-word identity phrases, just like the way Reddit offers to give its users anonymous names.

The three word names are given to users to protect their privacy, and they allow users to be able to interact as they want without fear of being doxxed. Status also comes with an inbuilt wallet that allows users to store all their ERC-20 tokens. It’s one of the coolest features of Status to me; I can throw some crypto there and forget it which is the perfect form of hodling lol.

Another cool feature that Status comes with is their in-app browser that allows users to access Web 3 DApps. Still a much undervalued project right now and one who’s team is constantly working to innovate and get better. With the bull market that the Cryptocurrency market is currently experiencing, I think solid Fundamental Analysis projects like Status will be among those moon-shots that do really big things. I am holding a bag myself and I am giddy with anticipation for the run to come ahead. It’s definitely one project I would recommend for everyone to try out and get a bag of. It’s one for the future
