One of the biggest arguments and fights against centralized Online Music streaming is that it is truly hard for new guys in the industry to break out and make a name for themselves. The top guys already have a lot of attention and even have backing of media houses and press, so when they put out new works it’s getting to a larger audience, unlike the nameless and upcoming guys who don’t have the financial wherewithal to promote aggressively. Then there’s also the problem of finance for putting your Music on the online streaming platforms where a lot of listeners are now domiciled. Without putting it there online for them, you miss out on the revenue to be generated from those avenues and you also miss out on growing your audience and fan base because that’s where the audience is.
