One thing we can all come to conveniently agree is that with the growth of technology and Social Media, the level of privacy each of us possesses continues to speedily decrease. If you do not care about how much others know about you, and if you like for your information and your tiniest bit of data to be out there then it shouldn't be a bother to you. But if you're like me who truly values their privacy and likes his data to be just that Personal, then it really is bothersome that gone are the days when privacy was a thing.
Gone are the days when your most secret and personal data wasn't hijacked and harvested by the big tech boys. It is all still very fresh in our minds the very recent Facebook Data Privacy scandal that happened in 2018. It all just goes to show pretty much all I've said so far that with the centralized guys like Facebook and Twitter, privacy is all but lost.
And then steps in the Decentralized guys, built with Blockchain technology and again I can begin to believe that there might be a thing as privacy truly. I have been privileged to use one of the Blockchain messaging apps called Status and I immediately fell in love with what I saw.
With the decentralized messaging apps like Status, privacy is foremost and it is evidently seen. Upon signing up for the Status app, users are given a pseudonym. So unlike the centralized apps where users can choose to be private, but it never truly is private they still have your data, with Status the privacy comes embedded. The users privacy is their first concern, and they protect it. You don't even know the real name of who you are talking to in the same group, because everyone is hooded per say.
It's beautiful the level of privacy that the decentralized messaging apps like Status give us. And hopefully in the coming days and weeks I'll be talking more about them and their features. Blockchain truly is revolutionising the way we do things and with Status, soon I see the likes of WhatsApp and Messenger and the rest getting a run for their money.
If what we have already is anything to go by, then soon you can finally take back your privacy and control. Soon, gone will be the days when you have to fill out your personal details to make use of Messaging apps. Soon, gone will be the days when Third-party and malicious apps will control Monopoly over the users data even to the most private and minute of information. I've been using Status for a while and to say I love what I have seen would honestly be an understatement. I truly believe they are into something big there and it only goes to show why we love Blockchain and the revolutionary things it's enabling us to do. Status for the win for me my friends.
Excellent one
